The Manchester Beacon designed Comixed as a way of bringing different people together to explore ideas collaboratively. Comixed is subtitled “A Networked Conversation” because it will be tracked and captured using different forms of social technology.
Illustrators will listen to, and take part in the conversations transforming some of the ideas and themes into comics that can then be used to demonstrate what people think about some of the issues.
Comixed has provided a blueprint for the way in Manchester Beacon’s conversations can be handled. Conversation, for us, is an important way to engage. We will be holding comixed events drawing on your ideas for future challenges that hopefully will be creative, fun and useful to everybody that takes the time to come along.
