About Me

I received an Early Career Research Award from the Manchester Beacon last year, and undertake a great deal of public engagement on WW2 Evacuation, with particular relevance to the Channel Islands Evacuation to England, of June 1940, just prior to the German occupation of the islands. I run a Community Group of elderly Guernsey evacuees, and help them to share their stories with the local community. See our Events page on my research website.
