I am a Lecturer in the School of Environment and Development, at the University of Manchester. I am a social entrepreneur and founded Ketso, a spin-off based on my research. Ketso is a hands-on kit for creative group work.
I have conducted research with communities in Manchester, the Mersey Basin Campaign, Irk Valley Project, Manchester City Council, Environment Agency and with staff from the shop floor to corporate senior management in Tesco, through the Sustainable Consumption Institute.

Ketso is an interactive, hands-on toolkit for bringing meetings and workshops to life. It is compact and portable, simple to use and accessible to everyone.
Ketso allows people to share their ideas, learn from each other and make decisions. It can help to manage business meetings, stakeholder workshops, brainstorming sessions - and any other situation where people come together to talk and think creatively. Put simply: it helps people to get things done.
Ketso is based on over ten year’s practical research and development - from rural regeneration in Southern Africa; to community and business development in England's NorthWest; to working with students in schools and Universities; to consulting on the delivery of government policy. It can be used, for example, as a tool for developing new ideas in a meeting, or for encouraging active learning in training and education.
