Engaging Citizens: Research, Media and the Public

The NCCPE has partnered the Open University and the BBC to run this event, aimed at stimulating discussion about the role of broadcast in engaging publics with research.

We are currently working together to invite speakers and develop the agenda for this exciting event. If you have developed projects that have brought together media, publics and research for mutual benefit we would welcome your participation in our case study discussions. Please contact us if you would like to get involved.

Themes for this event include:

* Who are ‘the public’?
* Researchers as broadcasters: How Web 2.0 has enabled researchers to directly engage with their publics

The event will end with a drinks reception for all participants.
