A two day conference around Public Engagement for University staff students and their partners.
Key note speakers include David Sweeney, Director of Research, Innovation and Skills at HEFCE, talking about the future of public engagement, and Dame Fiona Reynolds, Director-General of the National Trust. Fiona who will present a personal perspective on why engagement matters and will share her experiences leading the National Trust through an unprecedented programme of change to embrace a new engagement-led strategy.
A rich diversity of workshops and case studies will give delegates the chance to learn from the Beacons for Public Engagement and from other examples of innovative practice form across the UK and beyond. Highlights include sessions on the use of social media, impact and engagement, culture change, partnership working, and examples of engagement in action in a host of different disciplines, including history, health, literature and ecology.
