Description

Bright Club blends comedy, science, music and anything that can happen on a stage. The theme of this Bright Club is masks, inspired by the ceramic work of Congolese artist Bezy McClade, who is currently exhibiting his work at Nexus.

Hosted by comedian Joe Lycett, we have a number of speakers to expand your mind and tickle your funny bone:

DAVID PRICE unmasks hidden scientists

STEPHEN WELSH on masks, misunderstanding and Manchester Museum.

SALLY OLDING with the truth about airbrushing.

CRISTINA COSTA on online identity.

KARL COLLINS on hiding behind bad science

and TIM O'BRIEN on masking the sun.

Plus musical delight from THE HAPPY SOUL.

£2 on the door, doors at half seven (and not one moment before!), show kicks off at eight.

This instalment of BCM is part of Manchester Science Festival.
